El Centro Integral tuvo una inversi\u00f3n de 112 millones de pesos y fue construido en un predio de 51 mil 700 metros cuadrados, en la Alameda Oriente, alcald\u00eda Venustiano Carranza, CDMX\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

La jefa de Gobierno de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico, Clara Brugada Molina, inaugur\u00f3 esta ma\u00f1ana el primer Centro Integral de Bienestar y Convivencia Animal \u201cXolotl\u201d, considerado el m\u00e1s grande del pa\u00eds, con una superficie de m\u00e1s de 50 mil metros cuadrados, con lo que la capital da un paso hist\u00f3rico en la consolidaci\u00f3n de una pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica de protecci\u00f3n y bienestar animal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Desde la Alameda Oriente, en la alcald\u00eda Venustiano Carranza, donde se ubica este nuevo espacio, la mandataria capitalina inform\u00f3 que la obra represent\u00f3 una inversi\u00f3n de 112 millones de pesos y tendr\u00e1 capacidad para recibir a m\u00e1s de 600 perros y gatos en situaci\u00f3n de abandono, maltrato o vulnerabilidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
La operaci\u00f3n del centro estar\u00e1 orientada al rescate, atenci\u00f3n, rehabilitaci\u00f3n, socializaci\u00f3n y adopci\u00f3n responsable de animales de compa\u00f1\u00eda, con un modelo de atenci\u00f3n integral que busca que los animales no permanezcan \u00fanicamente bajo resguardo, sino que encuentren las condiciones necesarias para transitar hacia una nueva vida y una familia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Las instalaciones cuentan con dormitorios, \u00e1reas verdes y espacios de trabajo para personal especializado, veterinarios y voluntariado; estancias individuales para animales con necesidades espec\u00edficas de comportamiento o salud; 27 m\u00f3dulos con m\u00e1s de 100 espacios de convivencia grupal, cada uno con capacidad para hasta seis animales; adem\u00e1s de \u00e1reas de recuperaci\u00f3n y cuarentena, consultorios m\u00e9dicos, quir\u00f3fano, almacenes, oficinas administrativas y zonas de servicios m\u00faltiples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La jefa de Gobierno destac\u00f3 que la apertura de \u201cXolotl\u201d marca el inicio de una nueva etapa en la historia de la protecci\u00f3n animal en la capital, cuyo prop\u00f3sito es convertir este espacio en un punto de transici\u00f3n hacia la adopci\u00f3n responsable, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del rescate y resguardo de los animales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Brugada Molina resalt\u00f3 que el modelo de atenci\u00f3n de \u201cXolotl\u201d se basa en los cinco dominios del bienestar animal reconocidos internacionalmente: alimentaci\u00f3n adecuada, entorno saludable, atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica veterinaria, comportamiento y estado mental. Bajo este enfoque, cada animal recibir\u00e1 cuidados integrales destinados a mejorar su calidad de vida y favorecer su rehabilitaci\u00f3n y posterior adopci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Respecto al nombre \u201cXolotl\u201d, explic\u00f3 que fue retomado de la cosmovisi\u00f3n mexicana y hace referencia a una deidad asociada con el acompa\u00f1amiento y la transici\u00f3n entre mundos, un simbolismo que cobra especial significado en este centro, cuya misi\u00f3n es acompa\u00f1ar a los animales rescatados en el tr\u00e1nsito del abandono al cuidado y brindarles una nueva oportunidad de vida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Por su parte, el secretario de Obras y Servicios, Ra\u00fal Basulto Luviano, detall\u00f3 que el Centro Integral de Bienestar y Convivencia Animal \u201cXolotl\u201d fue construido en un predio de 51 mil 700 metros cuadrados, con 6 mil 402 metros cuadrados de infraestructura distribuidos en 27 m\u00f3dulos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Precis\u00f3 que 20 de estos m\u00f3dulos corresponden a estancias caninas: 19 cuentan con cinco habitaciones cada uno y uno m\u00e1s con 10 habitaciones, lo que permite disponer de m\u00e1s de 100 espacios de alojamiento y convivencia, con capacidad para hasta seis animales por estancia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
